I've been trying to ignore the holidays for some time now, and it hasn't been working too well, they keep coming back. I've tried the passive resistance bit during thanksgiving, but my family doesn't listen to me, and it falls on deaf ears, and ultimately does no good. Even if I ignore x-mas, I still find myself throwing money at it in order to spoil my nieces and nephews, and get my Mom something nice. To my dismay, the passive resistance to the whole thing turns into passive support. Its very depressing.
