Curious little thing bubbling in the blogosphere: a lawyer was fired
Above the Law has the details - a partner, in a top law firm (S&C) escorted out of the bulding by security, according to the stories; working in corporate law
here is S&C's list of major financial institution thing's they've been doing recently
it is an interesting list:
advising AIG on their $85 billion
Lehman's on how to go into bankruptcy
JPMorgan on the WaMu takeover
Goldman Sachs on their deal with Berkshire and Buffet
Fannie Mae in connection with its federalization
Bear Sterns in connection with its sale to JPM
Hm, I wonder if the partner fired was involved in any of these, and what triggered the dismissal.
Could be something about to crack here

US President George W. Bush will not attack Iran to halt its nuclear weapons program before his term ends in January, David Wurmser, a key national security adviser to Vice President Dick Cheney up until last year, has told The Jerusalem Post.…
so apparently insurance conglomerate giant AIG is on the verge of bankruptcy, again, despite something of order $200 billion bailout from the US, which now owns 79.9% of the company
the news solution is to request the US government guarantee the outstanding CDS that AIG issued
I propose a solution…
