White Coat Hypotension

Land's End sells white coats.  The kind that doctors wear.

I got an email hawking Land's End stuff.  Promising big
savings.  So I notice this:

Anyway, I looked at the image of the coat.  I imagined myself
putting it on.  Got chills.  Yuck.

I'm glad I went to medical school.  There was more good than
bad.  But yuck.

I am genuinely amused at this caricature of scientists from a creationist site. How many of you believed these things? Everyone is biased. Scientists just happen to be biased in favor of reality, and have a set of tools that help them overcome predispositions that might lead them into error (Non-…
After the 1999 Clinton/Clark bombing of Belgrade, almost all of the ruined buildings were quickly torn down and replaced with modern buildings, perhaps out of spite (which is the national character trait). After all these years, the city is unrecognizable - it is cleaner, livelier, prettier, more…

My brain is fried. My flight home was horrifying - the pilot warned us before we even left the gate that the weather is nasty and that he ordered the stewardess to remain seated at least the first 30 minutes of the flight. Did the warning make the experience more or less frightening? I think it…

The lab coat in the picture is the short version, which I associate with being a med student. It's the emasculated, "doctor-in-training", version of the real thing. I'd rather dress up in a hard hat and bunny slippers.

What's on the next page - an orange short-sleeved jumpsuit?

Hey now, it's only $8. That's the sort of price actual med students could afford.

The real question is: Is the material any good? Is it thick? A good blend that will doesn't wrinkle too much, sheds blood stains easily, and doesn't pill?
