I've seen CO2 emission figures for a single plastic bottle ranging from 40 to 300 grams (to say nothing of what is produced by transporting it to market and to landfills) so the CO2 figure in the graphic seems low.

Even at a highly conservative estimate, its daunting.

The whole western bottled water fad is nothing but a bloody con driven by the 'we need 8 glasses of water a day' Yeah, right! I challenge anyone to give me scientific proof of that. Perhaps we should start a letter writing campaign to the companies driving this. A simple one word note would suffice....BULLSHIT!
