After 36 hours of constant puns and sarcasm,I'm now ready for seriousness:in the '90's, the RNC pushed Christie Todd Whitman as the " future of the party", a possible VP, even president:a progressive ,modern woman,a mother, a council person(of some very small town),and appointed state official.She narrowly won the governorship,( with some help from Ed Rollins in Newark)because women voted for her .Twice.Not me.She was made EPA chief by George W., going down in flames circa 9/11(Something about air quality reports).Looks like the same star-making machine to me, folksy version.
