Panda's Thumb Recognized

I forgot to mention this, but the Panda's Thumb, the group science blog I co-founded a year and a half ago, has just been named one of the top science websites by Scientific American. They wrote:

If it's in the media and related to evolution, you'll find it posted, dissected and debated on this lively and informative watchdog blog. Devoted to debunking all existing and nascent theories related to the anti-evolution movement, the site's contributors comprise a passel of the world's most vigilant and passionate biologists, geneticists, students and concerned citizens for whom stemming the tide of creationism and its offshoots is a full time job.

Todd Wood is a professor at Bryan College, in Dayton, TN. Dayton, you'll recall, was the home of the Scopes trial, and Bryan College was named after Scopes's prosecutor, William Jennings Bryan, and was founded in part to carry on Bryan's anti-evolution crusade. Wood himself is a prominent young…

Wow, that's fantastic. I've been reading PT for about a year now, and I've recommended it to many others since then.

It's great to see it get the recognition it deserves. I consider it a valuable source second only to talkorgins.
