Watch the South Park Scientology Show

YouTube has the entire episode of South Park about scientology available to watch online. It's quite funny, with the humor existing on several levels.

More like this

As many have pointed out, Isaac Hayes, who happens to be a Scientologist, quit his role as Chef on South Park last week, unhappy that the show had produced an episode that made fun of Scientology. Apparently, it's OK with him if South Park makes fun of Christianity, Judaism, and Islam, but say…
NPR has started a year-long series on climate called Climate Connections. The other day, they broadcast the first in a series of their educational segments, starting at the very beginning: the carbon atom. You can read the intro here and watch the video here but just listening to the audio in the…
Andrew Landahl (who really should have a blog because he is certainly one of the most interesting people I get to talk to when I attend a conference) sends me a note about recent appearances of quantum computing on prime time TV which he has graciously let me post below. I thought you'd be amused…
I alluded to this on Twitter, and meant to leave that be, but the other thing I was going to blog today didn't come together, and I probably shouldn't leave a cryptic tweet as my only comment. So... One of the links getting passed around a lot in my social-media circles is this Tumblr post from Ben…

I managed to download the episode via the torrents at xenu.net (the links are near the top of the page, the first item in "What Is Going On Now?"

YouTube is useful but it can be SLOW. For instance, whenever I want to watch the Barry Gibb Talk Show, I have to think about it a half hour in advance.

Hmmm... performance seems to have improved. Some videos still load slowly. Also, I like to have videos right on my computer.

If you don't listen to Penn Jillette's radio show, you definitely should. His 3/17 show basically worshipped Trey Parker and Matt Stone and mocked Isaac Hayes beyond belief for all of this. Can be found on iTunes as a podcast.

Yeah, Penn talked about Scientology again today, although he promised that they were done talking about it now. Incidently, anyone that wants to listen to Penns show but isn't in a market that carries it can catch the live feed from 2-3 EST at www.pennradio.com

I caught this episode when it aired, and then downloaded it via limewire shortly after so I've seen it many times. It doesn't get old. I was familiar with the whole Xenu story before, so it was refreshing to see someone else hash it out. When I've tried to explain what scientology believes to people before they can't believe I'm not making it up.

Also, just a heads-up to everyone that season 10 of South Park starts this Wednesday, and it appears they're already doing something with Chef.

Ed, it's off-topic but I was going to mention that last I checked there were some rare (to me) video clips of Bill Hicks on youtube.com. I think you had mentioned on a post long ago that he was one of your favorite comedians. I've got some DVDs of his shows, but there were a few clips I had never seen, including a couple where he deals with some hecklers in his inimitable way.

Man, I so wish he was still around for this Bush administration and for the intelligent design inanity, although a lot of what he said then is all too relevant today.

Scientology got off easy compared to the Mormons. Except... Mormons are portrayed as, at least, having a decent family life. And they are the only ones allowed into Heaven.

Okay. Scientology got off easy compared to the Blainetologists.
