Listen to the person who John McCain says knows more about energy than anyone in the United States. Maybe he learned all he knows about energy from her? If so, maybe he'll explain it to the rest of us:
LOL.

"She's overstated Alaska's contribution to America's energy supply."
I contend overstating would be making a claim once; after the original assertion has been shown to be false, anything after that is a bald-faced lie.
She seems to be taking a cue from two of the most talented congenital liars of our time: Ronald Reagan and Bill Clinton. Almost nothing stated by either of those two men was true, but people loved them anyway. I fear the same could come true here.
Here in Canada we are frequently told that any attempt to restrict supplies of oil and natural gas to the US, or to impose differential pricing, would be a violation of NAFTA (North American Free Trade Agreement). Presumably any restriction of sales by the US to Canada or Mexico would also be a violation of the agreement. I wonder if she is aware of this and, if so, is she willing to break the agreement, as is implied by what she said?
The McCain-Palin energy policy continues to stress the fantasy that if we just let the fossil fuel companies unfettered access, everything would be okey-dokey. Drill offshore, drill ANWR, stripmine everywhere. Of course, it'll take 10 years and continue to pollute the air, water and soil, but that's okey-dokey, too.Take the money we'd use to subsidize the pipeline she wants to build and use it to subsidize insulating houses in the US up to R-40 and you'd save more energy that the pipeline will ever deliver, you can do it in 5 years, and the "increase" is permanent. Creating the jobs and helping out people with bad mortgages might be a good thing, too.but what do I know, I just count sick people...
President Palin. Yeah! Right!
She also thinks the Earth is around 1/10,000 of the age of the tectonic events that gave Alaska its oil. That makes it difficult to understand the limitations of oil, and to understand just how fast we've turned all that oil into CO2.
Energy expert? Hardly.

"Conservation may be a sign of personal virtue but it is not a sufficient basis for a sound, comprehensive energy policy." -Dick Cheney
I observe our presidential and vice presidential candidates and wonder what kind of president the VP candidates would be if that need should arise....... Hmmmmmm
