The Thinking Atheist: A world full of woo

The Thinking Atheist did a show last night on 'A world full of woo'-- I stopped by for a few minutes to talk about anti-vaxers, but there is a lot more to the episode, including an interview with Dr. Harriet Hall!

TA is super-- Last year he recorded and produced all of the videos for FreeOK.  He said my presentation for FreeOK2 should be up in a couple of weeks, but in the mean time, here is TA--

And here is Teresa MacBain!

Earlier this week, Peter Palese visited our Uni (he made it through Oklahomas version of hazing: a night of tornadoes, LOL!). I gotta say, man, that guy might be one of the biggest names in influenza/virology research. He might have a few hundred publications. He might be a member of the National…
For some reason, I've tended to give Dr. Mehmet Oz a bit of a free pass when it comes to promoting woo. I don't know why. Maybe it's because I just haven't paid that much attention to him. Perhaps it's because, even when he was on Oprah's show, he didn't delve as deeply into the woo as her other…

Remember Dr. Jay Gordon? I haven't written about him in a while because, well, as much as he's descended into anti-vaccine apologia over the last few years, he really has nothing new to say. However, apparently he's been Tweeting a lot lately, and he hasn't exactly been doing himself proud. Earlier…

The turin-shroud bedding was a hoot!

Good show. I just listened to the podcast. Appreciated your comments about the importance of vaccination.

Which podcast Gregg? Thanks

I just heard you on this show... Interesting, thanks.

One way to get more people vaccinated would be to develop an alternative to fetal bovine serum, and whatever else can be done to reduce the animal cruelty problem with vaccines. Not everyone is willing to take injections of slaughter products.
