Why I'm jealous of John Hawks

i-c36d05d44793527c63d30cd637da7d54-johnhawks.jpgLook at this bitch. No, seriously, check it out, he has this long ass post on fossils and paleoanthropology. How the hell am I supposed blog about human evolution with some pride & self-respect if John Hawks has to cover every damn angle!!!. I know a little about fossils, words like stratigraphy don't terrorize me, but I just don't have all the details of every damn fossil at the Awash site or Sterkfontein in my head. Fossils make me want to tear my hair out, how the hell am I supposed to ascertain if the Hobbit is a new species or a pathology? Hawks on the other hand looks at pictures and comes up with the conclusion that they are "without a doubt" a pathology. I can look at hotcaptcha and say, "without a doubt, butt ugly," but a bunch of bones???

1) Yes, you should make sure to read John Hawks

2) But tell him to stop giving it up for free, the town slut is making it hard for the whores to put bread on the table

Finally: more bones. Last October the world marveled at the announcement of the discovery of a new species of hominid, Homo floresiensis, in a cave called Liang Bua on the Indonesian island of Flores. One conclusion was more shocking than the next. First, this hominid stood only three feet high,…

At 1 p.m. today I listened by phone to a press conference in Washington where scientists presented the first good look inside a Hobbit's head. The view is fascinating. While it may help clear up some mysteries, it seems to throw others wide open. Last October, a team of Australian scientists…
Here's a gorgeous educational site, The Virtual Fossil Museum. It has a nicely organized set of fossil galleries, all intended for use by the education community, and all appropriately credited. This is the way it is supposed to be done. Unfortunately, that's not the way creationists do it. Here's…

One of the funniest posts I've read on any blog in a long time [I guess that either means that, A) you, Razib, are damn funny, or, B) I really don't read enough blogs.]

Correction.

"This is the NERDIEST post I've read on any blog in a long time..."

Fixed that for you, Rich!

I appreciate the fix Bizy. I assumed that since I'm actually reading this blog and and not:
http://fallin-dynasty.greatestjournal.com/ , the nerdiness was implicit.

Well, I'm off to buy another portable orthopedic back-pillow. First let me pumice my corns and go over my world of warcraft game cheats...
