Wow.... I usually get these things totally wrong ...

But this time I was not too far off. This graphic shows my electoral map (on the right, which to you is down until you tilt your computer monitor 90 degrees to the left) and the actual map (on the left, or top).

Next: September 8th: Sulzenau to Dresdener. From the Wilder Pfaff and Zuckerhutl I went back to the Nurnberger, had a look at the (Aperer) Feuerstein and then went to the Sulzenau for a rest day. That concluded my first week. Miriam (who has suddenly appeared in this tale, but I won't mention her…

You know, you've never posted these for an election before. You could have claimed this was typical and made your reputation as a prophet.

There are people to whom I think I still owe money for bad election bets. In theory they know how to find me, and rub it in.

Just a gentle reminder that I was the one who had the gut feeling that Obama would get Indiana before he got Missouri. (And *none* of the election prognosticators thought he'd get Indiana.) There was no bet though.

I've been just basking all day in the warm feeling that we're going to have a rational, intelligent president who will also insure that the Supreme Court doesn't lean any further to the right.

The Obama win was great. The supreme court is saved for normal humans.

My own dear state of Arkansas, however, voted to stop unmarried couples from fostering children. This would seem fairly innocent were it not for the fact that the initiative was sponsored by the same religious focus on the family type wingnuts that tried to prevent gays from fostering last year (gays can't marry here, so they can't foster). I think every person that voted for that initiative should have had to sign up to foster a child.

I can only say that, at the moment, I'm very happy that this election cycle is over! Now we can get back to our "normal" selves(maybe). I'm ecstatic that Obama won. I'm also ecstatic, here in Washington State, that our incombent governor, Christine Gregoire also won, since she had so much slime and sleaze thrown at her by her idiotic opposition that I nearly gagged listening to it!
