I never pass up the chance to point out that NFL fans who espouse to any kind of Native American rights are hypocrites. And that includes a few good friends who I'm still friends with anyways.

Never saw Guffman, but Spinal Tap wasn't quite what I saw in this trailer. This looks to be real people being insulted by an actor playing a "typical" American-buffoon. It looks more to me like a hyper version of Candid Camera and Punked... you know, obnoxious-to-be-obnoxious. I just never found that stuff even remotely clever. Like walking up behind Grandma and popping a balloon.

Maybe I'm missing something.

But just to be accurate, I believe In the Company of Men was made in '97 and Borat in '06. From what I can find at the website and in the trailer itself this looks to have been made in '07.

I see ignorance as far as I can see in this. I agree with mk, I don't see it as funny.

Probably not everyone is going to like it, but having seen it, and liked it, I can't help but to say it is good. And it is not even close to a remake or derivative of any of the films or TV shows mentioned above. If it actually matters what the film itself is like, I can say no one is quite near the mark in these comments.

And I say this knowing that Jason Page is an Over the Top Ass. I'm really not happy about having to meet the guy tomorrow. It's going to totally suck.

Of course the chance of you seeing it is zero if it does not get picked up by NetFlicks. But if the film ends up at a festival somewhere I'll be sure to announce it if I know about it.

And honestly, the fact that my BFF Analiese is in it has nothing to do with me liking it. She has a very small auxiliary bit part. Which she does very well.

Well then I really will be looking forward to your review. It may in fact be nothing at all like the films mentioned. It may be interpretation. It may be simply brilliant. But the trailer makes it look horrible, and in a very amateurish way... and your comment above about the director doesn't help with my already negative thoughts. But hey, here's an opportunity for me to grow, right? ;^}

At this point in my life (and in the mood I am in now), I feel there can be no good film about this kind of an asshole, no matter how it is done.
