Excellent news, my peeps! Seed Media Group has stepped up to donate matching funds of up to $15,000 to our DonorsChoose! This money will be divided evenly between all 21 of us ScienceBloggers who have set up a DonorsChoose Challenge.
Collectively, and thanks to our wonderful readers, all of the ScienceBloggers have raised more than $18,000 for our DonorsChoose Challenge classrooms. Best of all, the average reader donation has been slightly more than $75 each, so we have YOU to thank for this!
In addition to donating a substantial sum of money to the ScienceBloggers' DonorsChoose Challenges, Seed Media Group is also holding a special drawing every Friday to award a bunch of cool prizes to those who donate to DonorsChoose. These prizes include 50 subscriptions to Seed magazine, ScienceBlogs laptop sleeves, custom USB drives and ScienceBlogs mugs. The coolest prize drawing of all will be held at the conclusion of the DonorsChoose Challenge: they'll have a drawing for one Apple iPod Touch. If you have donated to any of our ScienceBlogs' DonorsChoose Challenges, you are eligible to win a prize. To qualify for a prize drawing, please forward your confirmation email to scienceblogs@gmail.com and you will be added to the drawings. If you've donated more than once, or to more thanone of the ScienceBloggers' Challenges, then send all your donation confirmations in to increase your chances of winning a prize!
