Here's a look at this traditional lunch as it was being prepared in front of my friend and I at the Kauppatori open air market.

It was good, but it took me awhile to get over my squeamishness about (1) these tiny fried fish had eyes and could therefore watch me eat them and (2) they still had their bones, which means that I spent some time picking them out before putting them into my mouth.
