Taking dedication a little too far

You know, as a native Detroiter and Tigers fan, I'm not sure whether to be pleased or appalled by this picture of one of my more--shall we say?--"illustrious" fellow Detroiters getting married. The least he could do would be to wear the jersey along with the hat, don't you think?

And I feel fine. But it seems as though yesterday's official start of legal gay marriage in Massachusetts has provoked much wailing and gnashing of teeth among the religious right. This is to be expected, of course, but I can't be the only one who is actually enjoying watching all of this feverish…
I rarely blog about sports, but I'll make an exception for today, given that football history is likely to be made later this afternoon. I'm not much of a football fan, at least not of professional football. These days, the games take even longer than a baseball game and all too often lack the…
Believe it or not, sometimes even Orac has a life. I know, I know, between the ridiculously logorrheic blogging here and other online activities, coupled with even more ridiculous long hours working at his day job, it's hard to conceive. However, my wife and I had a whole passel of relatives over,…
You remember Dr. Rashid Buttar, don't you? He's that blight on North Carolina's medical establishment, known for his "transdermal chelation therapy" that he's unable to demonstrate as being able to be absorbed through the skin, much less chelate anything (arguably a good thing, actually, because at…

I understand Kid Rock's position on this. Anything that would impede the actual wedding consumation is superfluous and extraneous, and to be avoided. At all costs.

Especially because the Sox are going to tame the Tigers. Eventually. Maybe even before this marriage ends...

First a story about breast implants, then a story about a guy marrying them.

Dream on, dude. Dream on.

Yeah! Dream on! Everyone knows it's the Twins that are going to take the division...

Ain't it sweet that it's just the central AL division that matters this year?

(The Yankees suck)

Yech. At least the guy could have put on a clean T-shirt.

One of my favorite players just became a Tiger! I had the pleasure of watching a great many of Andrew Miller's starts in college, and he's outstanding. Keep an eye out for him when rosters expand, his contract has a "straight to the majors" clause.
