Horror film fans dressed up to look like an army of the undead have been stomping the streets of Brisbane, Australia, in an annual Zombie Walk.
Spattered with fake blood and their faces painted a deathly white, the "Zombies" staggered across the city to the botanical gardens. The event originated in North America and is in its second year in Brisbane.
Its website explains that it is not an April Fool's joke "but serious, in a flippant sort of manner".
The Hitler Zombie is, however, disappointed that there was no brain-eating and no ridiculously overblown Holocaust analogies.

It's the very last installment of Zombiefest - one more book review, this time for one I heartily recommend!
Daniel Drezner, a professor of international politics at Tufts, prefaces his new book about zombies with an unexpected vignette - a visit to Graceland:
By the time my tour hit the Jungle…
A few years ago, a group of people dressed up as zombies for a protest march and got arrested for it.
When arrested at the intersection of Hennepin Avenue and 6th Street N., most of them had thick white powder and fake blood on their faces and dark makeup around their eyes. They were walking in a…
The trailer for Shaun of the Dead.
Not all zombies are created equal. The most popular zombie archetype is a shambling, brain-eating member of the recently deceased, but, in recent films from 28 Days Later to Zombieland, the definition of what a zombie is or isn't has become more complicated.…
Rather like a normal Friday Fun post, I'm going to highlight some fun stuff I've found around the web on zombies in higher education. And I'm not talking about undergrads at 9am classes either. Note that a couple of these I've highlighted before.
BTW, first I thought I'd point out a couple of pop…
The Hitler Zombie's been a tad slothful lately. Could it be that even it was ashamed of that baseball story? Even undead evil dictators have limits, I guess.
I'm trying to figure out what would make a more bad-ass evil army. A bunch of Nazi zombies, or a bunch of Soviet Terminator-style robots.
Hey, hey, hey. You can't talk about the ZombieWalk without talking about Toronto! From what I know, it originated here four years ago, and though Vancouver had us beat with 400 zombies, it was estimated we had about a thousand zombies this October past. The first zombiewalk I attended, in 2005, accidently crashed a UMOVE (United Mothers Opposing Violence Everywhere) rally. As we were shambling through, the DJ put on Thriller. It was shut down after a couple of minutes, but not before about a hundred zombies started dancing. Just this year there was an attempt at a world record inspired by that event.

Sorry I couldn't make this neater. I'm not familiar with HTML.
Something about all the zombies going to the botanical gardens just doesn't seem right...
Tyler, I'm gonna say Soviet Terminators. The soviets really knew how to create a death machine (MiG, Hind, AK) and their style of warfare made use of vast territory. The slow moving Nazombies would freeze long before they reached Petersburg... though it would be a dark day for Poland I guess.
MR, don't forget the T-34, one of the most effective tanks of its time.
Well, if you really want to know about what happened in the Zombie War, I'd advise:
