The sea lion, not the trainer. Taken today at the Central Park Zoo.

I don't usually make vapid comments like this on blogs, but I wish I was that sea lion, because the blonde trainer looks really cute.

... oh, who the hell am I kidding? I make vapid comments on blogs all the time.

I've been in proximity to sea lions and sea elephants and they are stymie brutes. Stink-o-rama.

But sea lions can be pretty friendly as well. There used to be a toothless old gal at the San Francisco zoo who was pathetically desperate for company. When you'd try and go away she'd fasten onto your hand with her gums and try and keep you there...

Now that I think about it that was a really depressing zoo when I was a kid. I hope it's better now.
