One of my favorite places! - did you pass through, or take time and run the Green river? You put in at the Gates of Lodore in precambrian rock, and paddle downwater upsection, all the way to Morrison.
David; Yes. My wife and I went white-water rafting down the Green River with an outfit located just outside of the turn to DNM (just across from the Sinclair station). It was a lot of fun! I wish I could have brought my camera, but I probably would have lost it if I had!
Cool. I did the trip almost 10 years ago with my kids: flew into SLC, drove across, hiked in the Uintas for a couple of days, stayed in Vernal. Both boys have 8x10 shots on their bedroom walls of them standing by the dino fossil wall. That was my older boy's first river in a hard-shell. Wish I could get back.
