I marvel at how much the Bronx Zoo has changed over the past 40 years. The last time I visited was the early '70's. All I seem to remember are the roaming peacocks and lions.
The roaming peafowl are still there. In fact, they like the area next to the gelada habitat because there's a picnic station there. They can be quite menacing when they realize you brought lunch.
