Brian...completely off-topic here, but I went to preorder your book from the local bookstore and they said it won't be out until November (I'm in Canada). Is that correct, or will it be out sooner in the states?

Daniel - That's right. It won't be out until November 1st (it will be released on the same day in Canada and the US - no word yet on when the Japanese translation will be out, and we haven't been able to nail down a UK deal as yet, either).

Thanks Brain. I'll have more time to read it in the late fall/winter anyway. Am too busy with field work in spring to early fall to do much reading for enjoyment.

Switek's first book, Written in Stone, will be published on November 1, 2010 by Bellevue Literary Press.

--right there in the left margin. My only defense is that ads usually appear in margins so I seldom read anything on the sides. Should have thought to have looked for a release date on your site though. Sorry. sighhh.
