I have a question for those that have kept up with the debt debate.

I found an article (which I sadly cannot re-locate) where the failure of Obama to include a Republican approval of a debt ceiling raise as a *condition* for the Bush tax cut extensions was discussed.
There was even a quote from an interview where Obama basically said that the Republicans surely were too responsible to cause trouble about the debt ceiling, so adding that as a condition for the tax cut extention surrender was not necessary...

Did any of you also read that article? It would be a good idea to forward it to as many as possible, to prevent the meme that "The Obama administration did everything in their power" the apologists are spreading
from taking hold.

It could have been in The Slate, The Nation, New York Times Washington Post or whatever.
