Russian pop?

I don't know who this guy Evil Bobby is, but he has distracted me a couple of times these last few days with collections of weird Russian pop videos. Isn't that what the internets are all about, stumbling into strange things you'd never look up yourself?

More like this

You should hear these songs loaded on Vodka at 1 in the morning at some shady Omsk disco as a skinny Russian girl tries to smooch you.

Ahhhhh Memories....Yet how am I going to explain to my kids just how I met their mom?

It is basically sixties rock with a few russian riffs thrown in. Occasionally it ventures into the seventies. But it is more listenable than most of the (c)rap that one hears on Mtv or whereever.

And here I wondered if you perhaps meant east-European soft drinks ... of which a local grocery carries several. Some of them are very odd colours, including blue.

Yes, I should.
But like most (if not all) shoulds in my life, ain't gonna happen. :(

I liked "Shvaine," the one with porcine Nazis. Talk about mixing up your movie mythologies - the final battle scene from Return of the King mixed in with Silence of the Lambs. And I'm sure the North Africa campaign would have been won much faster if the Allies had had pterodactyls. This raises the question - can pigs be anti-Semites?

For some Ukrainian dance-pop with some Carpathian mountain folk elements mixed in here and there, check out Ruslana. A breathy Britney wanna-be she ain't. No, you don't need to know her last name. You'll get more hits by googling РÑÑлана but the sites might be less, umm, readable. :-)
