Funny thing I bumped into: Was taking a peek at my brother's blog traffic last week, and someone had gone over by clicking "next blog". It was a videogame blog, and revealed the origin of Mr. Saturn's appearance: In Smash Brothers Melee, Mr. Saturn is described as a "blobfish". That photo above was shown in comparison on the blog.
