Hank Fox rises again

One of our regulars here is Hank Fox, and some of you may have noticed his website has been rather static lately. Check again! He's back at it, and in case you're looking for a professional proofreader and editor, he's offering his services online.

And courage. And, in these precarious economic times, a little bit of the crazy. Hank Fox has quit his job at a newspaper. Why? Because they ran an article, in spite of his protests, that was plain, simple, taken-for-granted bigotry against atheists. If you're looking for godless heroes, there's…
It's my afternoon for getting lots of whiny right-wing Christianist email, I guess. This one is notable, not for its content (which is predictable, humorless, and indignant, and just like most of the complaints I get), but for the fact that it was also sent to my chancellor and every member of the…
Wheaton has a good academic reputation, but man, it's the little things that make it frightening. I would not want to live in the theocratic world it represents. Hank Fox has a couple of stories about Wheaton. The first is the blog of a recent graduate of Wheaton who determined halfway through his…
It's been quiet around here lately, I realize. As you can tell from the last few posts, life has been busy and angsty and not a lot of fun lately. But a very large burden has been lifted (which I may blog about at some point, once I figure out how to do so without compromising my pseudonymity),…

Yippee! I likes me some Hank. Now if we could just get Carl Buell to post more often, the world would be a sunnier place, geese and foxes would live together in harmony, and there would always be a plentiful supply of cocoanuts for the T. Rexes. (Cause T. Rexes loves them some Marx Brothers!)

I was a bit taken aback by his use of "over-formal" instead of the correct form, "overly formal," but overall, he seems to have a better grasp of the English language than 99.9 percent of the people writing online (or anywhere else) these days.
