Cline at UMTC

Hey, Minneapolitans — Campus Atheists, Skeptics, and Humanists have two big events coming up soon. This week, it's pizza and bowling on the UMTC campus. I'm probably not going to be able to make that one, but the week after, on 6 March, Austin Cline will be speaking on critical thinking and skepticism, and I may be able to get into town for that one. Let's all go say hello to another godless blogger!

This week, the University of Minnesota Campus Atheists, Skeptics, and Humanists will be hosting an Ask an Atheist panel discussion on Thursday, March 3, from 7:00pm - 9:00pm. This will take place on the UMTC campus, at: Amundson Hall B75 421 Washington Avenue SE Minneapolis, MN 55455 Here's how it…
Hey, don't miss this: Shermer will be speaking at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities next week, 14 October, at 7pm in Willey 175 (West Bank). There is a charge, but it's cheap: $1 CASH members (advance sale only), $2 advance tickets through CASH tabling or at general meetings, and $4 at the…
Last night was the activities fair at UMM, where student groups try to catch the attention of the new students and persuade them to sign up. It was a mob scene with hundreds of milling people, and there in the middle of it … the brand new UMM chapter of the Campus Atheists, Skeptics, and Humanists…
Ah, this is going to be painfully dreary. Why do I let myself get dragged into these podium battles with kooks? I'm committed, anyway. Come on out to the UMTC next month for a game of kick-the-puppy. I'm going to be coming down off a real high that weekend, the IGERT symposium on evo-devo, where I'…

I would love to be there, but it would cost too many coconuts.

Hmmm, sounds like fun. I didn't see a time posted either here or on the CASH site...am I going to need a miracle to cure my blindness in order to participate?

What? I've been sighted...Thursday at 8 am? That's AM? Ahhh, then again if that is correct I'm not too excited at my prospect of making it.

I really like the website for the "best damned group on campus" (CASH). Too bad I'm not a student at UMTC.

I was subscribed to Austin Cline's Atheism Guide for months before I really even knew what a blog was. He was a large part of the reason I decided to start my own. I, unfortunately, don't live anywhere near Minneapolis...

I've been on the About Atheism forums for years now. Austin's blog/information are fantastic... do wish I lived near by. There should be some stuff in California as the Godless are quite plentiful here, but without the rather constant persecution since childhood nothing about atheism makes it seem remarkably rebellious.

Thanks PZ for the update...I might be able to make it at the later time.
