So cute! I tried to figure out what book the socktopus was reading to the teddy bear but couldn't make it out...anyone??? Cover looked familiar from when my two were babies. Thanks for the Mother's Day present, PZ!
Ah! "Just a Dream" by Chris Van Allsburg--much too recent for me to have read it to my kids. But I'm going to have to go buy a copy in case I have grandkids someday....
Now how do we bring environmental pressures to bear so that our laundry evolves to do the household chores then pop itself into the washer? (Preferably within the next day or so).

Did you watch "Corpse Bride" and "A nightmare before Christmas"?
Stop-Motion is most certainly not dead. Both films are beautiful (and some friends of mine wouldn't believe me when I told them it was Stop-Motion and no computer animation).
In the sequel, the Soctopus investigates a crescent wrench but is suddenly eaten by a cuttlefish mimicking a Spongebob bedspread. It's one of those "circle of life" things.
I promise to clean up my used clothes immediately from now on. I wouldn't want to wake up to a bulbous pants-on-head insane laundropod strangling me with arms made from my favorite t-shirts.
Where can I buy one of those?
Aw, that was cute.

One visit from the eater of socks would sort that rebellious mob out.
That bikini freaked me out slightly.
Cute. Well done as well.

What am I lovin more - the slinky, creepy string bikini, or PZ's category for it all?
I wasn't weirded out until the laundry started reading to the teddy bear. Now THAT was strange.
Sing it Lady Day
Why is there a bikini in the kid's room?
Cute video.
Nice socks!
Interesting to see that in this age of computer animation from Flash to Maya that stop-motion animation is not dead yet ...
The unfortunate byproduct of a down economy and high unemployment, some people just have way too much time on their hands...
Unfortunate?
Not for the socktopus

One of my favorites.

I think we should be told :-)

However, there's a surprise ending.
Spoiler Alert!
The “crescent wrench” turns out to be a ninja pillow in disguise, who, after an intense struggle with the cuttlefish bedspread, is eaten first.
Re stopmotion: Wallace and Grommit. (And Shaun the Sheep.)
Yay for Wallace and Gromit!!! I totally forgot about those guys!

Cute little stop-motion.
My laundry, on the other hand, is making baby mice.
Keenacat: Yeah, I've seen the latter. But that must have come out, what, 15 years ago?
