The agenda on this video made me so happy. I want a president like this!
More like this
I’m not sure why I’m compelled to write each time the Labor Department releases its Spring and Fall agenda on worker safety regulations.
Labor Secretary Hilda Solis signed off on her first semi-annual agenda of regulations, which was published in the Federal Register on Monday, May 11. She writes:
"Regulation in an uncertain world," was the title of a speech that President Obama's regulatory czar Cass Sunstein delivered on June 20, 2012 at a National Academy of Science's government-university-industry research roundtable on
In the Wall Street Journal today, GOP strategist Karl Rove rejects conventional wisdom that Obama is vulnerable simply because of the two sided attacks from Clinton and McCain, but rather because i

I get to leave a comment?
It's a CHRISTMAS MIRACLE!!!
Dan Bern for President? But he's already the Messiah.
PZ for Pres., Bern as veep. Just because I wanna see him debate Palin with guitar in hand. As long as I can rely on PZ for some godless pro-pot agenda items of course!
Not being from the USA, what does he have against Idaho and Cleveland? (See newspaper headlines at 5:16.)
rant Had to sign in using my google account. Even though I'm registered with Typepad it won't let me sign in without providing further information but it doesn't give me any way to send such information. Have tried 5 times to register with Movable Type which tells me it has sent a confirmation email that I need to respond to. Said email never arrives. /rant
I do love this kind of thing! Global Parliament NOW!

I was laughing so hard after the FSM appeared I need to go back and listen/watch again, I'm sure I missed other jewels…
So with the help of our Cuban brothers
We'll go communistic - collective farms!
Capitalism is a fine thing
If it works then great okay,
But if it don't, ya gotta try something else...
Our esteemed host may have to change his subtitle for this blog. Endorsing such sentiments is a bit beyond the permissible scope for "a godless liberal"...
Huh?
Free market corporate capitalism as it is currently practiced in the so called western democracies is the system that has brought humanity to the brink of extinction.
Either you're in denial of reality or you're part of the above mention establishment and are pushing its agenda.
BTW communism is just as failed a paradigm as capitalism so don't waste your time trying to convince me how lousy a system it is...
I'd vote for him as long as national nude day is not compulsory. I'd prefer my nudity to be between me, my doctor, and an autopsy table.
Very Capraesque in a Bob Dillon kinda way.
Hah! My favorite Dan Bern experience was about 14 years ago in Fargo, ND. He played a show at the (now defunct) 1st Avenue Lounge. At the end of No Missing Link, he climbed down from the stage with his guitar and led the entire bar outside. We paraded up and down Broadway singing "aliens came and fucked the monkey" until the police showed up and herded us back into the club.
Lyrics to No Missing Link:
They looked for the missing link
There's no missing link
They'll never find the missing link
There's no missing link
We're not something
You can figure out with an equation
We are the genetic mutation
Aliens came and fucked the monkey
They fucked the monkey
Aliens came and fucked the monkey
They fucked the monkey
Aliens came and fucked the monkey
They fucked the monkey
Darwin tried explaining it
Darwin the best he could
Evolution, pretty theory
But how could Darwin know?
That aliens came and fucked the monkey
They fucked the monkey
Aliens came and fucked the monkey
They fucked the monkey
