Is there a reason why they are drawn with 8 arms? I'd expect 10 at least at the ones from the Cretaceous era.

I wonder if octopi were bred / genitically modified to live longer than 5 generations would they then go on to form societies? Would they undergo a cognitive / behavioural explosion as happened to our species. Rise up my cephalopodic brothers - you have nothing to lose but your crumbs!
