For $1,500, Joe Biden Will Dance Like a Monkey

Some time back, the Obama campaign site offered a "check your voter registration" link. This seemed like a good resource to promote, so I checked it out. This required giving them an email address, and since then, I've gotten a flood of fundraising emails purporting to be from significant people within the Democratic party.

One from yesterday was particularly noteworthy in its unique incentive offer:

I want you to be there with me on Election Night when the results come in.

We're planning a big event that will include tens of thousands of supporters in Grant Park in downtown Chicago.

We're saving some of the best seats in the house for 5 people who make their first donation to the campaign before Sunday at midnight.

If you're selected, you can bring a guest, and we'll fly you in and put you up in a hotel for the night. You'll go backstage at the big event and -- no matter what happens -- you'll have a front row seat to history as we celebrate the supporters who got us over the finish line.

Any donation of $5 or more qualifies, so if you're into that sort of thing, you've got thirty-some hours to send them some cash.

Voting For Obama Even If You Believe He Was A Terrorist: This is a person who actually believes that Obama was in a "terrorist group," and she's still backing Obama. Relatedly, a remarkable finding in the new New York Times poll: While 64% said they'd heard a lot or some about William Ayers, only…

Hmm, do you have a link for that? Your text says it's for "5 people who make their first donation" but the Obama website says it's for "5 people who have given to the campaign before".

Nevermind, found my way to it. Here's a link if anyone else needs it.
