I watched (bits of) a couple of basketball games last night for the first time in ages: Syracuse put up a good fight for a bit more than a half before being put away by a really good Connecticut team, and North Carolina blew Duke away late to win their fourth straight in Durham. These were two impressive performances by two terrific teams.
So I flip on Mike&Mike this morning, and they have Jay Bilas on. Who talks for two minutes about UConn and UNC, then Greenberg asks him, essentially, "You have a law degree, so would you care to pontificate about Alex Rodriguez?" And they spend the rest of the segment talking about steroids in baseball.
I put my breakfast together during the commercial break, and come back to find that they've changed the topic. Now they're talking about Michael Phelps smoking dope, and the ludicrous efforts of South Carolina prosecutors to make some sort of case to arrest him.
It's going to be one of those days, isn't it?

Wash all the bad out with a good dose of Northwestern v IL tonight at 8:00 CST. NU has one of its best chances EVER to get to the NCAA this year, and beating IL at home tonight would help that out. Personally, I think NU beating Mich State in Lansing should be all NU needs to do, but the damn committee voters might feel differently.
Intersting about your M & M comments - I was listening to the same crap from old Jay...I punched the radio button, and got a Darwin Day reminisce on PBS - and it was only biased a little. It would be nice to get PBS away from the darkside where they have been the past 8 years.
When I went back to M & M, they could have started a dialogue about abuse of police power - and it might have been more productive, although Golik did hint that he didn't think the witch hunt was right.
