Reader comment of the week:

In Memo to Windows Vista, Chad of Uncertain Principles vents his frustration with Microsoft's newest operating system. After Chad changed a setting, to prevent his computer from automatically restarting every time it required "critical" updates, he found it had mysteriously been reset.

Chad leveled a threat:

If this arbitrary re-setting of settings continues, I will introduce you to the great big magnet we keep in the Physics department for just such occasions. And I know where the Apple Store is.

But reader Eric Goebelbecker, however, offered some reassurance:

Don't worry, Microsoft is working very hard to address the biggest problems with Vista: they hired Jerry Seinfeld to make funny commercials!

Some other Technology posts we thought were cool this week were:

Chad Orzel now knows more than he would like to about the loathsome political views of some old acquaintances. Chad Orzel is pretty sure the people in question don't read the blog, or at least won't know he's talking about them.
Here is a list of Basic Concept posts in Physics and Astronomy.
Last night I had the good fortune to meet Dr. Chad Orzel, who just so happens to blog right here on SEED ScienceBlogs at Uncertain Principles. Chad is a physics professor at Union College and blogs on everything physics!
