The second panel of this comic struck a chord. In 1970, I was born three months early. My lungs weren't mature enough to supply my body with enough oxygen so I developed Cerebral Palsy. The amount of progress modern medicine has made since then has been substantial. The advent of the iBOT is just one example of this. Stem cells might prevent what happened to me from happening to newborns in the future. I hope the next resident of the White House is receptive to broadening the scope of the research.
