Timothy Sandefur has written a brief reply to my post on Miles Davis, in which he states:
Thanks to Timothy Sandefur for reminding me that today would have been Miles Davis' 78th birthday. Miles is in my second tier of jazz icons.
I'm a huge Eric Clapton fan, particularly of his blues output, always have been, always will be. There's only one artist I've seen in concert more time that EC, but more on that later.
Today is my 38th birthday. Not a big deal to me. As my father likes to say, there's no point in worrying about birthdays until you stop having them.
A nice sequence of Coltrane is available at johncoltrane.com
