The reflection of these particular Westside buildings in Turtle Pond is a favorite photographic subject of mine especially in the Fall. It's not just the colors that attract me. The fallen leaves floating on the water give the image an added texture.

As I've already mentioned, I am having a rough time right now, but I love photography, so I decided that I should view NYC through a shutter as a way to deal with my labile mood state. So as I walked down the street, I decided that I would photograph a rather colorful park that was nearby. Even though I've passed by it many times, I've never visited the Anne Loftus playground, so I spontaneously decided to photograph it.

Well, it's nice to be noticed, and I was noticed today, by Seed Magazine (online).
I know this doesn't sound like much since Seed should notice those who write for ScienceBlogs due to our close affiliation, but I am rarely noticed by anyone (including Seed) for any reason and worse, because my moods have been causing me tremendous anxiety and grief recently, I have felt absolutely invisible.

One of the nice things about living in NYC is the fact that there are often fun things happening that are both spontaneous and free-of-charge. One of those events occurred last evening and continued through the wee hours of today, when I spent election eve in NYC's Times Square, along with half a million other people.
