National Geographic has the scoop on this incredible fish that boasts a transparent, glass-like head. The two dots at the front of the fish are actually its smell organs, the eyes are under the green barrel-like structures, which can be tilted and pivoted to find food or detect predators. Those crazy Japanese have done it again! By combining two types of recessive genes that cause frogs to be pale, they have created a frog with almost transparent skin. Unfortunately for the frogs, the advantages to testing on a see-through critter are numerous.
