As Bora has posted, the NC Triangle area is about to be paid a visit by Chris Mooney, author of The Republican War on Science, Seed Magazine Washington correspondent, and ScienceBlogger at The Intersection.
The book signing and lecture events are below but I wanted to invite local folks to a meet-up to talk with Chris on Sunday afternoon at 1 pm at Tyler's Taproom in Durham's American Tobacco Historic District. We'll be milling around the bar area until we have a good enough group to be seated (I couldn't afford the $100/hour to reserve their side room). I suspect that we'll be there until 3pm or so before we bring him over to the bookstore.
At present, it appears that the great Coturnix/Bora Zivkovic and blogger/journalist, Anton Zuiker, will be in attendance, plus a possible showing from another mystery ScienceBlogger (Okay, it's writer and author, Dave Munger of the Team Munger blog, Cognitive Daily).
Of course, Chris will be happy to see you at Durham's indy bookstore, The Regulator, later that afternoon, but he is being generous with his time to meet some local bloggers and such. So, c'mon out to this or the other following events:
