F---ing Moron

I've said it before, I'll say it again (and again, and again), Ted Stevens is an effing moron. He's the one who put an anonymous hold on a bill that would create a database of government spending. Why? The man who demanded his $250 million bridge to nowhere rather than aid to Katrina was worried about the pricetag.

Stevens earned his title by opposing funding for avian flu preparedness because the virus "has not yet become a threat to human beings." As if the right time to prepare for something is after it's become a pandemic.

Then he threatened to resign his seat if funding for his bridge were cut, but then back out of that promise.

He reconfirmed his status by explaining that the internet is a series of tubes, and that it's sort of like dumptrucks.

Moron.

So Michael Fumento has issued a challenge to put 'odds' on avian influenza, thinking that somehow I've stated that an avian influenza pandemic is likely (he's also accused me, a scientist, of being "anti-scientist" and "alarmist"). Well, I'm not putting odds down because I've never said that a…
It's election time here in the US and we need a new Congress -- here's why: 1. Congress set a record for the fewest number of days worked -- 218 between the House and Senate combined. [Link] 2. The Senate voted down a measure that urged the administration to start a phased redeployment of U.S.…
It turns out that Sen. Robert Byrd of West Virginia also had a secret hold on the bill, not just Ted Stevens. That is no surprise to anyone who knows Washington. Byrd is the Democratic doppelganger to the Republican Stevens. His spokesman, amusingly, claims that Byrd didn't really want to stop the…

He's almost as big a moron as our very own Jim Ryun.
