Boyda went to the emergency room of The George Washington University Hospital, where she was diagnosed with gallstones. The Congresswoman was back at work the next day, but her spokeswoman says she will require routine surgery to treat the gallstones.

A lot of students are asking that. Avoiding the question won't hide the fact that the democrats are likely going to fail us.
I had my gall bladder removed.
My policy is to never have elective surgery. My pain was diagnosed as having to do with the gall bladder. So when the surgeon said that i could go home and schedule removal for another time, i had to remind myself that it was not elective.
As it turn out, it was gangrenous. It didn't take long to get rid of it, but i wouldn't call it routine. Had i delayed, i'd likely have died.
I was in the hospital for a week. It would have been nicer to have had outpatient surgery. But it wasn't that long ago that this would have required a one to two month hospital stay. The gall bladder is buried pretty deep.
