Just a reminder to everyone that we'll be starting Kurt Cobb's _Prelude_ on Monday.
First of all, let me start with what I like about Jim Kunstler's writing in _The Witch of Hebron_. The thing I enjoy most is that he navigates the shoals of post-apocalyptic fantasy extraordinarily well.
From the master of doom and gloom, James Howard Kunstler, comes this attempt to simultaneous amuse and depress:

Oh, that there could be all manner of moral markets - to the best of my knowledge, I've spent nigh on 35 years not killing anyone. Who could I sell that to? But then, according to Hobbes one cannot have any contracts without a power to enforce them, so how soon before we have to institute the karma police? (was that punchline too obvious? alas.)
