So here we are, ready and willing to amiably groom our readers or grimace at them in fierce display. But for now, we are pretty darned excited to be here, and hence, the pant-hooting.
In January, I slapped up some commentary pertaining to Science Blogs, advertising, and Leonardos on my now rapidly senescing blogspot. I was intrigued, and maybe even a little intimidated, by the offerings in Science Blogs as noted in this excerpt of my 01/20/2006 entry:
The Chimp Refuge may never qualify as a lofty enough addition to Seed's select group. After all, our contributions are a bit scurrilous, and my menopausally diffuse brain causes me to veer from the scientific realm now and then. But lofty or not, I am proud to claim a couple of articulate and rakish Leonardos for my blog team.
In spite of our penchant for irreverence and the occasional vulgar neologism, a Seedling liked us. She really liked us. Thus, we were invited to this high falutin' salon of scientific yammering. We remain decidedly unlofty, definitely scurrilous, and I am no more focused than I was six months ago. And we have added a Leonora (Colleen) to complete our little bonobic bridge party. My diffuse approach to this blog make it difficult to categorize. Ms. Sharp suggested "Cultural Bio-Warfare." I think that is as good a description as any. So, with that in mind, Kevin Beck a.k.a. kemibe will get things rolling, jiggling and quivering with a weighty subject.

Welcome! Irreverence and vulgarity are almost requirements.
A big pant-hoot shout out!
Praise the lord and please berate.
Let's get started, I just can't wait.
Congrats on the move here. I will continue to link to your site, and will drop in when I can. This is my first visit to Scienceblogs and I like it!
