iPod iChing - Orchestral Maneuvers in the Dark

Friday again, and we approach the Mighty iPod with a serious astronomical question:
Oh, Mighty iPod - to the extent that the universe is well represented by an FRW like model, homogenous and isotropic and currently dominated by a dark energy component with W = -1 - is it in fact the case
that dW/dz = 0 for all z?

Whoosh goes the randomizer.
Whoosh.

  • The Covering: The Wheels on the Bus - Twin Sisters
  • The Crossing: Danse de Cygnes - Tchaikovsky
  • The Crown: 40 - U2
  • The Root: O Come All Ye Faithful - King's Choir
  • The Past:Er nauðsynlegt að skjóta þá? - MX-21
  • The Future: The Donut Song - Burles Ives
  • The Questioner: Diamond Dogs - Bowie
  • The House: Hollywood - Bubbi
  • The Inside: The Boy in the Bubble - Paul Simon
  • The Outcome: Sean Flynn - Clash

#11 is Totally Nude - Talking Heads and #12 is Over at the Frankenstein Place - Rocky Horror...

Well, I didn't expect that.
Starts appropriately, The Root is a bit cruel.
The Past is "what do you think - is it necessary to shoot them?"...
The Future: "Watch the donut, not the hole"?!
The Questioner is a bit edgy, right mood though.
The House is a punky condemnation of the disco culture. Hm.
The Inside is too funny.
Had to confess I didn't remember Sean Flynn - a bit ambiguous,
so lets look at #11 and 12 - #11 sends us back to nature, naked and #12 tells us there is light in the darkness? But a star will guide us...

So, question is a bit off base? There is dark energy but it couples weakly to the standard model sector?
That'd be interesting.

As always, the Key as explained by Sean

Here is the official NASA word

Over at the Frankenstein Place

In the velvet darkness of the blackest night
Burning bright, there's a guiding star
No matter what or who you are.

There's a light over at the Frankenstein Place
There's a light burning in the fireplace
There's a light, light in the darkness of everybody's life.

I can see the flag fly, I can see the rain
Just the same, there has got to be
Something better here for you and me.

There's a light over at the Frankenstein Place
There's a light burning in the fireplace
There's a light, light in the darkness of everybody's life.

The darkness must go down the river of nights dreaming
Flow morphia slow, let the sun and light come streaming
Into my life, into my life.

There's a light over at the Frankenstein Place
There's a light burning in the fireplace
There's a light, light in the darkness of everybody's life.
