I had to laugh like hell.
We knew it had to happen someday. And yet, what a depressing surprise to find that someday is today.
The NYT article makes his work sound very contingent on his time and relevant only to a specific few generations. I certainly hope it keeps being read by future generations -- if only to resist the blind worship of technology and the hubris of righteous anger, both tendencies that show no sign of going away soon.
