Long and tiring friday, and we put the iPod to the test!
Oh, Mighty iPod, will Google have to pay out on the Lunar X-Prize?
Whoosh goes the randomizer.
Whoosh.
- The Covering: Counting to twenty
- The Crossing: Firebird: Introduction - Stravinsky
- The Crown: I Will Never Be The Same - Melissa Etheridge
- The Root: My Flying Saucer - Billy Bragg
- The Past: Mammaborgar - Edda Backman
- The Future: A Change Is Gonna Come - Billy Bragg
- The Questioner: O Come, All Ye Faithful - King's College Choir
- The House: This Is The Way
- The Inside: Mate of the Bloke - Half Man Half Biscuit
- The Outcome: (White Man) In Hammersmith Palais (Live) - Clash
Hm, should I mention that #11 is Boulevard of Broken Dreams and #12 is the 1812 Overture? Nah.
That is quite amazing, iPod nails it.
Revolution is imminent, with hitherto only dreamt of technology.
"Mammaborgar" is the song of the country girl who buys red cloth in town for a dress, and when told the price is a "kiss", tells the shopkeeper her mother will be in to pay her debt.
Deep.
The Inside - everyone loves a winner with good hardware
The Outcome though speaks of establishment usurping the revolution and sellout.
So it goes.
As always, the Key as explained by Sean
My flying saucer where can you be
Since that sad night that you sailed away from me?
My flying saucer I pray this night
You will sail back before the day gets bright
My flying saucer fly back for home!
You will get lost in the universe alone!
My flying saucer end all my fears
Sail back tonight, love and kiss away my tears

I swear you rig these things somehow....
You always manage to get songs that are appropriate.
The scary thing is I really do not rig them.
I have about 3000 songs, ranging from toddler compilation sing-a-longs
to very obscure Icelandic punk and blues, and clearly they address the human condition with frightening perspacity
