Cat Blogging

Had a great time in Cincinnati, and will be doing a couple of posts about it shortly. In the meantime, how about some cat pictures to tide you over.

Here's Emily in a pensive mood:

And here she is on her favorite bookshelf:

Here's Big Ol' Isaac engaged in a favorite activity:

And here he is having declared victory over my backpack. For some reason both cats really like to sit there:

My cat, Isaac, died on Monday. He never did anything like a normal cat, and that includes the manner in which he died. He went from no symptoms to multiple organ failure in less than a week. We'll come to that in a moment. Cats like Isaac are the reason people own cats. If he were a person he'…
Assisted suicide is not the happiest topic in the world, so I think it's time to lighten the mood around here. And what better way to do that than with some cute animal pictures? Let's start with Emily keeping me company while I am at the computer: I was making revisions to my paper about knight…
Summer is officially over. Kids are back in school. I am pretty much a stay-at-home-Dad these days and this is even more obvious during breaks in the school calendar. And we certainly had a great summer, starting even before school ended, with our trip to New York City. We went to the pool a lot…

Who are you kidding? That's not Something Very Interesting, that's DINNER.

Are you planning on making a habit of cat blogging, like Kevin Drum does? Because that would be fun, well, fun to view, anyway.

Jesus Christ, that's an enormous cat.

What do you feed him? Other cats? Children? Steroids?

Wes -

I've been feeding him Science Diet Light cat food for years. Honest!

Thanks for sharing your pics!!

Both of my cats also love to lay on bags. Any kind of bag. If they can, they'll try to get inside them too.

I have to say the cats are a nice break. It's like scrubbing my mind after all that irksome creationist stuff :)

Maybe you should just do a cat post follow up after each of the museum installments.

House cats are, generally, living testaments to the fact that humans make excellent servants!
