Many of you probably tuned in over the last week to the Confederations Cup tournament as the US national team pulled off a stunning semi-final victory over world #1 Spain and then followed with a close loss in the final to world power Brazil. In trademark ugly American fashion, Steve Colbert suggests that now that we (the US) are good in the sport, it's time to pay attention to soccer. Enjoy.

More seriously, it's possibly one of the most international of (men's) sports. With that in mind, it'd make a nice change of "World Series" that are really "USA series". (Woman's football is strong in the USA, but internationally it's probably not as widely played, at least not in large numbers.)

Some producer needs to tell him to stop waving his hands in front of this face. Terrible presentation form. Surely this is taught somewhere in 'Be a television presenter 101'?
