Razib, it is perfectly okay to say "my cat." "My" doesn't necessarily imply ownership. It can also attest to attachment. "My" mother, father, son, daughter, husband, friend etc. Loving relationships not possessive in nature necessarily.
Razib, I know you're a big time admirer of classy, naturally very blond women, in the Celtic/Germanic/ Scandinavian mold. I've gotten the impression, based on prior assertions which might have been superseded without my noticing, that Nicole Kidman is your numero uno celebrity example, though you've proffered numerous (generally considerably younger) supporting examples.
Well I've got a rival claimant for the crown for you. More your age as well.
I couple of days ago we watched on DVD on HDTV, Tristan + Isolde (based on one of the oldest, perhaps THE oldest Western post Roman romantic tales - which influenced many others subsequently). Not a bad movie. Not fabulous, drags a little from time to time when it's too predictable, but it isn't all predictable by any means. But there's one COMPELLING reason to see the flick. And that's Isolde. That's Sophia Myles. My God!!
Peaches and cream perfection, in the best English mode. (More cream than peaches.) No static beauty she. She can ACT. Early twenties. First big part.
She's mucho brainy as well. She was accepted to read (study) philosophy at Cambridge after among other things getting straight A's in all A level classes in her good secondary school (according to IMDB). Note, her family doesn't appear to be truly upper class or rich either - her father was a vicar. It would seem Cambridge accepted her solely on brains and achievements.
She's got that ultimately feminine but strong English and pan Western Euro Medieval natural aristo female allure to the max.
Check it. I doubt you'll be sorry. My brainy brown brother you.
I know Razib only for a few months. While I instantly recognized his prodigious mental capabilities (which is why I am a regular here now) I am not intimately familiar with his proclivities re blondes (but I am learning). Speaking of brown brothers having a thing for peaches and cream complexion, here is an interesting link to back room revelations about how some white brothers may be worried.
Can I have your cat?
my kat??? excuse me, but as i said, no man owns a kat!
I hope we're going to have a bonus kat again this week...
Seeing more close-ups, my bet is definitely on Maine Coon.
That kitty is just too gorgeous for words...

More important, I can't see Kat!
Speaking of alluring kitty cats....
