Michele Bachmann has always been a moron!

Oh, this is just unbelievable. Thanks Mmme P for digging this up for our enjoyment. You must be assimilated. Into the suburban borg. Anything else is animalistic tribalism.

I literally became somewhat nauseated watching this. But then, I thought ... "Hey, we're putting this bitch, I mean, witch[hunter] away. This is not a problem any more."

People are very on edge today. More short and ill tempered than usual. I was walking along in Target and had that sense of tension and angst all around me, the feeling that everyone in the store would be happier if everyone else in the store was not there. As I was walking along I had the…
Dr. Free-Ride: So, where do you think land comes from? Younger offspring: Land comes from ... I don't know. Dr. Free-Ride: If you had to guess ... Younger offspring: Land comes from a whole giant island. And then it breaks apart since the dinosaur times. Dr. Free-Ride: So, like one big continent…
There are inevitably plenty of typos, but after the jump I've pasted in the transcript of my Science Friday conversation with NPR's Ira Flatow about hurricanes and global warming. Callers raised several interesting questions. Enjoy. National Public Radio (NPR) August 24, 2007 Friday SHOW: Talk Of…

Only in France could you have the suburban youth rioting because the welfare benefits are not generous enough.

Does she understand that in France, the lower income populations are in the suburbs, rather than in the inner cities? Once the statement is adjusted for that difference, I don't think it stands up very well.

Well, on the one hand she spews a lot of idiocy, on the other all cultures are not equal. I would say that those that allow equal rights for women and minorities are clearly better than those that do not. Just one example

Virgil? Bachmann? Understand? WTF?

Yes, Bachmann is a moron, and I hope she loses her Congressional seat......but I do agree with her here. Not all cultures or values are equal. Secularized, post-Enlightenment Western culture is about the best culture we have so far.

And, like her, I do hope the Muslims in France become westernized (and secularized), rather than France becoming Islamicized. And I hope that Islamic culture undergoes its own secular Enlightenment one of these centuries.

She is correct in stating that all cultures and ideas are not equal. This is academic and best left to the reader to decide.

What is wrong is that her ranking of more correct and lesser correct culture is not based on a fair and unbiased review. She wears her colors and makes her claims and takes her lumps.

One of the main lumps she will necessarily endure is the one that asks, "Why do you make such a big deal about people with foreign delusions? Aren't you're own enough?"

And so it goes. Oh well, E Pluribus Unum anyway.

There is nothing in this video that is correct, because there is nothing going on in this woman's brain. Any appearance of getting something right is ... well, a stopped clock is right twice a day. Except in military time, then only once.

I heard Palin say recently that she was looking forward, or something, to God's will being done on November 4th.
I just wonder what her culture and Bachmann's will say to them about how God's will turned out to be Obama (US PRESIDENT), Al Franken (MN), Max Baucus (MT), Dick Durbin (IL), Tom Harkin (IA), Tim Johnson (SD), John Kerry (MA), Mary Landrieu (LA), Frank Lautenberg (NJ), Carl Levin (MI), Mark Pryor (AR), Jack Reed (RI), Jay Rockefeller (WV), Jeff Merkley (OR), Mark Begich (AK), Larry LaRocco (ID), Nick Carter (WY), Mark Udall (CO), Tom Udall (NM), Rick Noriega (TX), Andrew Rice (OK), Jim Slattery (KS), Scott Kleeb (NE), Bruce Lunsford (KY), Mark Warner (VA), Kay Hagan (NC), Bob Tuke (TN), Ronnie Musgrove (MS), Vivian Figures (AL), Jim Martin (GA), Bob Conley (SC), Tom Allen (MA), Jeanne Shaheen (NH), and of then there's all those (75?) who will be in the good company of Steve Sarvi (MN2nd), Ashwin Madia (MN3rd), El Tinklenberg (MN6th), and Tim Walz (MN1st) in the US House...

Ana, what do I need to do, and I can get help with this if needed, to get you a blog.

Thx for the support, you two - blogging may be a possibility some day, down the road, maybe after I find a source of income and my brain isn't scrambled with turns of phrase about how fantastic I am and what a great asset I would be that no one seems to be buying at the present. Or you could give me drugs; I'm not sure what would work, and I'm not talking about "mood-altering" so much as "radical realignment of reality" type stuff. Got any of that? Til then I'm afraid I'm stuck, and limited to belching semi-relevant commentary on each of your brilliant pages...
