Eight of Scotland's primary police department have listed their religion as Jedi.

Strathclyde Police said the officers and two of its civilian staff claimed to follow the faith, which features in the Star Wars movies.

The details were obtained in a Freedom of Information request by Jane's Police Review.

Strathclyde was the only force in the UK to admit it had Jedi officers.

Apparently there are close to four hundred thousand Jedi in England and Wales. Scotland has fourteen thousand.

And when I was in high school [1960s], my sophomore English teacher advised us that whenever he was required to fill out a form with a blank for "religion" he put in, "druid." Eventually he hoped that marketing would start showing up for druids.

I did it for years, and now know quite a few who use "Jedi" the same way.

So, what you're saying is that there are devotees of the Force on the force, then.

DC,
I did the same thing for years! Don't remember why I started using druid. Stonehenge, contrariness or maybe I just like the sound of it.

I find this comforting!

As a Scot, this makes me happy.

Sweet, just changed my religous views from TimeCube to Jedi (originally FSM) on Facebook
