Note: The following is a repost from some time ago. Today is the officially day to celebrate Dr. Seuss, so here is my Seuss-related post. Enjoy.
In the second Cat in the Hat book (I think it is the second one), the Cat reveals that he has more smaller cats under his hat. They are labeled A - Z with Z being so small you can't even see. Question: What is the sequence of sizes for successive cats? How big would Cat Z be?

Geez Greg, that is one huge cat. Is it a Three Mile Island feline? Or a 500 pound Rex? It must scare the hell out of your dog.

Bravo Halo!

Has anyone else noticed that the cat is trying to figure out what happens to the balls after they go into the pockets? First she tries to scoop one out of the near side pocket, and peers into the pocket. Then she propels a ball into the far side pocket. She hops over to it, looks into the pocket, and simultaneously scoops with her paw under the table.
