It's not like the author was actually advocating said "fingerprint argument".

the problem here is that he's focusing on the puzzle-- a whole bunch of pieces of cardboard/plastic, etc., when the REAL impressive thing in the room is the human. MUCH MUCH more impressive than any puzzle could ever be.
